Last year, Three Days Grace brought out another highly-acclaimed effort, Explosions. The 2022 album, produced in collaboration with Howard Benson, spawned the band’s latest number 1 single, “So Called Life.” The song is officially the band’s 17th number 1 song on the Mainstream Rock chart, tying with fellow hard rockers Shinedown on most number 1’s on the chart. They also surpassed the record previously held by rock and roll legends Def Leppard. According to founding member and bassist Brad Walst, the album was the heaviest effort they had ever put out. Drummer Neil Sanderson also shared the inspiration behind the record, "There is a common thread of theme going through it — the notion of just feeling like you have to self-center yourself in today's world, but then at the same time, you have to hear the opinions of everyone." The album entered four Billboard charts and peaked at number 4 and 9 on the Top Hard Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts. Their exemplary work on the record also earned the band a nomination for Rock Album of the Year at the Juno Awards. Aside from “So Called Life,” the album also spawned another number 1 rock hit, “Lifetime.”

Explosions follow a string of critically-acclaimed studio efforts, including Three Days Grace’s best-selling album, One-X. The 2006 album peaked at number 4 on the U.S. chart and number 2 in their home country, Canada. The album notably spawned three number 1 hits, “Animal I Have Become, “ “Pain,” and “Never Too Late.” One-x sold over three million copies in the U.S., earning a triple platinum certification. Meanwhile, it was also certified platinum in Canada and silver in the U.K.

Fellow hard rockers Chevelle also have several highly-acclaimed albums under their helm. The band’s latest album NIRATIAS (Nothing is Real This is a Simulation), topped three Billboard charts and peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200. The 2021 effort was the band’s first concept album, with many instrumental and spoken word tracks. Meanwhile, NIRATIAS’ lead single, “Self Destructor,” topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks – officially making it their sixth single to top the chart. That same year, the album dropped its follow-up single, “Mars Simula,” which peaked at number 3.
