Disturbed is a multi-platinum-selling band that emerged during the mid-'90s and became the pillar of nu-metal. The band has recorded and released eight studio albums, five of which topped the Billboard 200 chart. Their debut album, The Sickness, is currently their best-selling effort to date. The 2000 record peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 chart and later earned a five-time platinum certification representing over five million copies sold in the U.S. Two years later, the band released their follow-up, Believe. The 2002 effort, which spawned singles “Prayer,” “Remember,” and “Liberate,” topped the Billboard 200. Six years after its release, Believe was certified double platinum.
Disturbed moved on to release several more number 1 albums, including Ten Thousand Fists, Indestructible, Asylum, and Immortalized. Their latest effort, Divisive, was released in November 2022 and was met with high acclaim. The album topped three Billboard charts: the Top Alternative, Digital Albums, and Top Hard Rock Albums. Meanwhile, it peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200.
