Prolific rock act Dave Matthews Band recently announced the release of their latest effort, Walk The Moon. The 12-song record serves as a follow-up to the band’s 2018 effort, Come Tomorrow. According to a press release from the band, Walk the Moon was written, produced, and recorded during the 2019 lockdown. The release goes on to say that the 12-song album "took shape during the pandemic and is as much a reflection on the current times as it is an urge to find common ground."
Since 1994, Dave Matthews Band has been releasing critically-acclaimed albums. Their debut record, Under the Table and Dreaming, made an immediate breakthrough and peaked at number 11 on the U.S. charts. The highly-influential release, which spawned hit singles “What Would You Say” and “Ants Marching,” eventually earned a six-time platinum certification after selling more than six million copies in the U.S. After their phenomenal debut, the band moved on to release eight more records, seven of which topped the Billboard 200 charts. Since their emergence, the band has sold over 31 million copies in the U.S. Moreover, the band has a number of accolades under its helm, including a Grammy Award, four My VH1 Music Awards, and an NAACP Image Award.
