“I can’t wait to be on the road with the amazing group of artists joining us on this year’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour” says Willie Nelson. “It is always a great day of music and fun with family, friends and the incredible fans, and even more special this year in celebration of my 90th birthday.”

Willie Nelson, a legendary figure in the world of country music, turns 90 on April 29, and to celebrate, he'll be touring with his closest friends and family for his annual festival. In celebration of Nelson's monumental birthday and career, he will be joined on this enormous Outlaw tour by a revolving cast of performers. In 2016, Scranton, Pennsylvania played host to the first-ever Outlaw Music Festival. Since the show was wildly successful, Nelson transformed it into one of the most successful touring franchises in North America.

Nelson, a native of central Texas who was also a singer, songwriter, pianist, political activist, and actor, was a prominent figure in outlaw country, a genre of country music that originated in the late 1960s as a reaction to the conservative limitations of the Nashville sound. Songs like "On the Road Again," "Beer for My Horses," and "Always on My Mind" and albums like "Shotgun Willie" (1973), "Red Headed Stranger" (1975), and "Stardust" (1978) helped make Nelson a household figure in country music.
